I have spent more than 15 years in the art world: museums, galleries, academia, and years of work alongside leaders in international hospitality, building art concepts and collections for projects from hotels to private homes. THEODORA exists to help people find artworks that resonate on a personal level, and to create spaces that feel meaningful, distinctive, and alive.

Before THEODORA I did curatorial work in established museums, managed a gallery in Tel Aviv, and worked closely with emerging and established artists. Recent projects include private residences in Caesarea, Tel Aviv, and Herzliya, large-scale hospitality commissions, and the exhibition Creating Hope.

I am an art curator with an M.A. in art history from the Faculty of Arts at Ben-Gurion University and a diploma in curatorial and museum studies from the Faculty of Arts at Tel Aviv University. Today I am based in Tenafly, New Jersey, and work in New York, across Bergen County and in Tel Aviv.

אני אוצרת אמנות, בעלת תואר שני בתולדות האמנות מהפקולטה למדעי הרוח והחברה באוניברסיטת בן-גוריון ותעודה בלימודי אוצרות ומוזיאולוגיה מהפקולטה לאמנויות באוניברסיטת תל אביב. היום הבסיס שלי בטנפליי, ניו ג'רזי, ואני עובדת בניו יורק, ברחבי מחוז ברגן ובתל אביב.

I don’t simply place art in spaces, I connect people with the art they are meant to live with.

I am an art curator and advisor. I choose, source, commission, frame and install art for private homes, offices and hotels, and I work alongside the architects and interior designers who build them, not around them. The work runs from a first conversation about the space and the people in it, through a concept, a shortlist per room and a budget plan you approve, to the day the last piece is hung. You see a shortlist, not a flood. I assess market value and negotiate on your behalf, and because so much comes through direct relationships with artists, the cost of the work itself often comes down. The work is not finished until every piece is on the wall and you are fully satisfied.

אני לא רק מציבה אמנות בחללים, אני מחברת בין אנשים לאמנות שנועדה לחיות איתם.

אני אוצרת ויועצת אמנות. אני בוחרת, מאתרת, מזמינה, ממסגרת ומתקינה אמנות לבתים פרטיים, למשרדים ולמלונות, ועובדת לצד האדריכלים ומעצבי הפנים שבונים אותם, לא סביבם. העבודה מתחילה בשיחה ראשונה על החלל ועל האנשים שחיים בו, עוברת דרך קונספט, רשימה קצרה לכל חדר ותוכנית תקציב שאתם מאשרים, ומסתיימת ביום שבו היצירה האחרונה נתלית. אתם רואים רשימה קצרה, לא מבול. אני מעריכה שווי שוק ומנהלת משא ומתן בשמכם, ומכיוון שכל כך הרבה מגיע דרך קשר ישיר עם אמנים, עלות היצירה עצמה יורדת לא פעם. העבודה לא מסתיימת עד שכל יצירה תלויה על הקיר ואתם מרוצים לגמרי.

I live and work in Tenafly, New Jersey, and I work across Bergen County and Manhattan: a newly built house in Closter, an apartment with a custom bar on the New York skyline, a home office, a collection that needs one more decisive piece. I also work in California and in Tel Aviv, I work online with clients anywhere, and I handle homes in Israel for clients who live here. A good share of my projects come to me through interior designers, architects and brokers on behalf of their clients.
